my grandmothers opinions. My grandmother raised me. My grandmother hates fat people with everything in her. Everytime she sees a fat person in public she just looks at the floor and shakes her head. My sister has put on quite a few pounds lately. Well when my sister asked my grandma how to get her husband to mow the lawn, my grandmother said "why can't your fat *** mow the lawn??" and she cried about it and then my grandma told her to quit being a baby. I have to say that I share her opinions. I have no tolerance for laziness.

I would hate to be your sister, I hope there is someone else in your family she can talk to. Your grandmother sounds ignorant, only ignorant people hate people because of their appearance (height, weight, color, etc). As far as you agreeing, karma will get you back for that one.

Prejudice is ugly in any form. Maybe going to church would help. When I get too lazy to do landscaping, I move the junk vehicles around the yard and it looks so much better! Any way, if a person is large, it does not take away the fact that they are human beings with a soul, and feelings as well. Try and look beyond the outward appearance of others, you'll become less shallow, may learn something, and everyone will feel better.

I'm only able to give my opinion based on the facts you gave here. First, I think it's wrong for your grandmother, and whomever shares her opinions about fat people, to hate fat people. I think that is so wrong! I think that was very rude or your grandmother to make that kind of a comment concerning the lawn. So, she told your sister to quit being a baby? Well, I think she's the one who needs to grow up! A grandmother should be an example of love and encouragement ~ not judgement. So, granny, sweeten up a little, will ya?

I think your grandmother is obnoxious. How about this - some fat people hate old people. I have found that some people who call others fat are actually fat or have been fat themselves. BTW, being fat doesn't necessarily mean being lazy. Plenty of lazy skinny people too. I don't know why people can't live and let live.

Am sorry to hear this. You are cold. So is your grandma for saying that. People overeat for a reason. There is a need they try to fill. That approach will get nothing for anyone but pain and heartache. God help either one of you that you don't get fat. Please educate me. What the he** made you 2 so perfect? Am sure neither one of you would want anyone to be so critical of you. Tell me what is your vice? Everyone has one. And do you feel good about yourself/ I hope not. If so that tells me you have no conscience. Thumbs up to your sister for even associating with either one of you!

so if your sister responded with why cant your old tired grumpy depends wearing a s s get out and mow the lawn that would have been ok. just cuz a woman gets old tired and grumpy does NOT give them the right to be mean to everyone else. your grandmother was wrong and she should apoligize. its that simple

Lazy and fat are not the same and no matter how much weight she has gained she is family and you and your grandma should remember you love her or at least are supposed to you seem like horrible people and should both be ashamed for being so mean no one should be treated like that

Yeah, that's mean. Even if that's your opinion about fat people it's an opinion you should keep to yourself. Tell grandma I hate old people

First of all, your sister shouldn't take this crap from you guys!! second, while their are some people who are fat because they are lazy...there are people who can't lose weight because of medical conditions, so STOP JUDGING PEOPLE, why can't people stop condeming people before they know them! gosh

I completely agree with you and your grandmother. Being fat is a choice that people make. They choose to be inactive and to overeat. They obviously have no respect for themselves or their lives and I cannot respect those who don't respect themselves. Fat isn't something that just happens to you, if you don't like it then stop eating so damn much.
Oh, and if you're offended by this statement, then you're probably fat.
