Hmmm... Leviticus said so. But I'm pretty sure he also said:
Leviticus 19:27
Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
... So. Those that shave are sinning.
Leviticus 19:19
Keep my decrees.
Do not mate different kinds of animals.
Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed.
Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material.
... So. Those that grow crop in cycles, wear polyester cotton mixes, or breed mules are sinning.
Leviticus 15 alson says that Semen is "unclean" and women on periods must be cast out due to their uncleanliness.
But many christians do not follow Levitican Law. In other places it does mention that homosexuality is a sin but I do believe that it also says:
1 John 4:7-12:
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
God wants us to love... including homosexuals.

As far as I can tell, religious conservatives base this idea around leviticus 18:22, which states:
"You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
This would in theory let lesbians "off the hook", but of course, conservatives can't have that.
The bible is widely open to interpretation, however, and most anything you wished to be against would have a passage somewhere you could twist to your own devices. Technically, you can't wear polyester, or grow a vegetable garden. If your wife does anything bad, half the time you must take her to the village square so the town may stone her to death. Oh, and if you want to sacrifice someone for the lord, it'd better be a male (lev 1:3). And he'd better be unblemished.
Actually, reading through chapter 20 of leviticus is pretty much the sex crimes book. You'll get put to death for any of the following:
adulterer and adulteress;
man and stepmother;
man and daughter-in-law;
man and man;
man and beast;
woman and beast.
A threesome of man, woman, and her mother is really bad: The punishment is getting burned to death.
But guess what? Marrying a sister is punished only by excommunication.
Sex with a menstruating woman—that rates only banishment. And sex with an aunt or sister-in-law merely guarantees the culprits will die childless.

Many take the bible to literally. I am a crossdresser and in Deuteronomy 22:5 it states that a man shall not weat that which pertainith to a woman and a woman shall not wear that which pertainith to a man. Many people will state this as a given fact. If one reads a few passages above this. One must wear tassels on their clokes, Build a fence on their roof and do a bunch of wierd stuff. I don't see these people with the tassels and fences so they better worry about their own problems. I have done quite a bit of bible study and I can't think about where it says anything about being gay except for in the story of Soddom and Gammorah and to me that was more about throwing a woman outside to be raped and killed than being gay or something.

It does not say "sin" it says it's an "abomination".
Judaism and Gays:
"The Hebrew word for abomination which is To'evah is quite different in meaning from the Hebrew word for sin which is Zina. The Bible never refers in any of the passages as these acts being sins, merely abominations."
"It is because of that,and many biblical scholars are in agreement, that historically the prohibitions were not directed towards homosexuals but towards the cult prostitution practiced by the neighboring Canaanites who worshipped Ba'al and Astarte, two pagan Gods. The reason for sexual practices in these religions was typical - they were fertility rites meant to assure good crops, or a healthy child, etc."
most famous is: Leviticus 18:22 "Man should not lie with a man,as one does with a woman,it is an abomination".

You got one good answer from Pamela. She is correct.
The Bible's condemnation of homosexuality is as clear and plain as the Bible's condemnation of murder, adultery, premarital sex, kidnapping, lying and idolatry. Further, for me to openly condemn homosexuality theologically makes me no more a "gay basher" than I am an "adultery basher", "premarital sex basher", "kidnapper basher" or a "murderer basher". If you disagree, your argument is with God's Bible.
The homosexual community has two ways of promoting their personal choices of being homosexual through the religious forum. First, some will claim the Bible actually promotes and condones homosexuality. Second, others try to get the Bible banned from public use by categorizing it as hate literature.
For any to use the Bible to condone rather than condemn homosexual activity in the theological arena just proves such a one has absolutely no idea what the Bible actually teaches. For anyone to suggest the Bible says homosexual activity is acceptable to God, is nothing short of willful blindness. So to set the record straight once and for all, here is what the Bible teaches on the subject.
Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
Lev 20:13 "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death."
1 Cor 6:9 "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals"
1 Tim 1:9-10 "realizing the fact that (civil) law is not made for a righteous man, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers"
Rom 1:26-27 "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."
People can disagree with it all they want, but you asked where in the Bible it is and there is your answer.

Romans chp. 1:26 area of that chapter.
It is a sin agents the body. If I lay with a woman, and have sex, I am sinning agents my own body, because God gave me female stuff to re produce for children. If I am laying having sex with a man who is not my husband, guess what, that sin is just as bad. Yaw. Its a sin agents my body. My body the bible says is the temple of God.
But God is cool, he lets me live my life the way I want to, only thing is when I take my last breath, that’s when my damnation takes life.
If I sin agents my body, that opens the door for sickness, and diseases, that have no cure. That is the curse from God, for our bodies today. Your body will make you pay for your sin, one day. Its just no way to over take that curse. No way to remove it, you see it in operation every day. Yet, where did it come from?
It came from a choice of lifestyle. God is the cool guy, he already put the judgment into operation, we by our own choice walk into it.
Romans, is a cool book, read the whole book. I love Chapter 8.
It talks about the flesh and spirit.
Did you know Satan has a black book with everyone’s names in it that are not found in the book of life?
Once you take your last breath, If your name isn’t erased from it, an put into Gods book, by the blood of Jesus.
well, its a choose. God is too cool, he planed it, we just live it.
And choose to except him, or reject him.

Im not sure' i have no problem with gay or lesbian people of the fact that they should be married im prefectly fine with that but im guessing its just some religous extremists who feel that the marriage should only be for a man and woman. Basically its just people who are close minded or maybe are unsure of there own sexuality and it scares them.

The bible doesn't really say that.
Some people quote little bits of the bible out of context to try to support their bigotry. Two hundred years ago, some people did the same mean trick to try to support slavery.
They are just jealous of the people who have the courage to be honest about who they are.
