If you think Primerica is a pyramid scheme, then you really need to get your facts straight. But I guess how you can see why you think Primerica is a pyramid scheme. You saw the $199 and you think someone is going to earn money off of it. The fact is, the $199 is to process your licensing paperwork. $159 goes to the Department of Banking and Insurance in the State of wherever you live and $40 goes to the FBI to do a background check on you.

Primerica is multi-level marketing company. That means, whatever level you at in the company, you get paid full commissions on your own personal production base on your sales level. The person who recruited you also earn commissions, but only the difference between your sales level and the recruiter sales level. This continues all the way to the top. You won't get paid for recruiting, but you will get paid for whatever they produce. Don't this definition sound similar? It should. If you work at a job, when you do work, not only you get paid, someone else is benefiting from your work as well (*cough* your CEO or your boss). The problem at a job is that you are stuck at the position for a very long time. At Primerica, the more work you do, including your team, (call the baseshop), the higher you go up in the company.

In order for something to be a pyramid scheme is to have a new associate pay a fee to join a company AND someone earns commissions on it. A company is said to be a pyramid scheme if the company requires you to buy the product first in order to sell it. (you probably know someone selling knives or bowls or some sort of kitchen stuff. They have to buy the product in order to sell it).

I don't work with Primerica, however its not a pyrimad unless only the ones at the top make money. A pyramid is not legal. What your talking about is called "network marketing". There is a huge difference.

No it is not! There is no such thing as a legal pyramid scheme because pyramids are illegal. It is multi level markerting, but it does help people who are looking for financial help as well as those looking for an opportunity. I am not with Primamerica, but I have used them and heard their president speak at our convention. It is a good company.
