I have been eating tums when I have a heartburn. You can try sleeping in a recliner and see if that helps some. Try not eating anything after 7 or 8 and same with drinking cause that can cause some of the heartburn. But the doctor will usually tell you to eat tums, my doctor did.

I'm 7 months and EVERYTHING gives me heartburn and/or indigestion. What I do is drink milk and take tums before bed. Usually it helps but not always. If there is some better solution I'm all open to suggestions. It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or how much.

I had heartburn for the last 2-3 months of my pregnancy. I thought I was dying...and I was told about the old wives tale about heartburn and babies being born with hair. MY son was 8lbs 4 oz and was born with a whole head of blonde hair over an inch long all over his head. He needed a hair cut. So I agree with you.

The best thing I have found so far is Rolaids Soft Chews. They come in different flavors, but the Vanilla Creme tastes like candy, so it's not a medicine taste. Otherwise milk seems to help a lot too.

Try drinking a glass of milk. If you can't, or milk doesn't work, try Mylanta or Tums. Both are safe to take, and they have helped me big time. Plus, Tums has calcium in it, so it gives you a boost.

Mint tea can actually cause more heartburn in my experience.

Coca cola helps....it soothes, makes bubbles, and then you belch...ahhhh.

Tums LOTS of tums.
