I have a WRTP54G router/firewall that they give out with Vonage. I have a desktop with a wired connection and I recently purchased a laptop connecting through wifi. Everything work fine, I have a home network working. I'm using WPA encyption and MAC address filtering. Howver, when I shut off the laptop or take it out of range from the network and bring it back it cant connect to the router until I log into the router and restart the wireless access from the desktop PC. Any ideas on why it is doing this, or anyone having the same problem?

I'm wondering if it has to do with the security settings? I guess i cold turn them off and find out but I would rather not there are alot of people in my building.

Thanks...

I have the same router and make sure the firmware is upgraded on the router and reset the wireless settings should work fine then.
