Rap IS NOT crap!!! People who think rap is crap just don't know what to listen to. You could say a lot of the mainstream stuff is but rap in general is not crap! Some things some people say is a bunch of nothing but you could say that about any genre.

no. rap is not crap. rap has just taken a bad turn in the music industry. people who actually believe they can rap have been given an opportunity in the studio and ran with it making bulls***. it really depends on what type of music you're interested in. just because rap is a total turn around from rock, country, heavy metal, classic, or whatever music you prefer does not make it any less. i can call classic music crap because it puts me to sleep, but music is music. there are different genre's for a reason. you really can't knock another genre because you don't like what they talk about it. don't listen to it. yes, so rappers go off the wire degrading women, but not every song and every rapper agree with that. there's always a bad apple in the bunch.

Why so hatefull towards one form of music. Most of the stuff on the radio isn't very good, but that doesn't make the whole genre crap. Why do you try making a rap song yourself and see if you can appreaciate it more after that.

personally i think so but when people tell me rock is crap i disagree. it depends on your style. i like my music with a mean guitar and a sweet bass guitar and some crazy drums. but a lot of people like rapping. and a lot of people like it just because everyone else does.
