My girlfriend washes her UGG boots in the washing machine and lets them air dry and they look fine.

I had some new cluggettes slippers, and I too got grease on them. I put corn starch powder on the grease and let it absorb the grease. It worked ok but didn't completely remove the stains.
Then I went to visit said girlfriend for a dinner party, and her nephew dropped a soda and a 2 liter cola bottle exploded and sprayed everything-the walls, countertops, table, my newish cluggette slippers!

I had no choice but to try the washing machine. I air dryed them. Guess what? They look brand new again --even the grease spots are completely gone now.

So much for not submerging them in h2o. I am ready to try my boots.

P.S. slippers are sand color too!

If it's white, bleach it otherwise try:

Mr Clean Magic Eraser
soap and gentle scrubbing (but I'm assuming you've tried that)
Toothpaste (regular white kind)
buying the Sheepskin Cleaner and Conditioner ($10) from the UGG website: http://www.uggaustralia.com/ProductsList.aspx?gID=w&categoryID=184&page=1

if you find you have a grease stain on your sheepskin footwear, try rubbing some white chalk over the stain and leaving it for a few minutes. Then, using the bottom of your hand or your thumb, gently rub the stain. Repeat this a few times until the stain has disappeared. If a stain is being extremely stubborn try rubbing some fine sandpaper "lightly" over the stain. You have to be exceptionally careful with sandpaper as it may take some of the dye away in the process. Only resort to this option if you are prepared to take that risk.

THINGS NOT TO DO:
using hot water as oppose to lukewarm or cold
using strong detergent
putter dryer on a cycle higher than "gentle"
putting directly in front of heat

You can get a suede cleaner, i had a pair, and i went hiking in snow with them, the biggest mistake! They were very stained and it just wasnt attractive. But suede cleaner really did the trick!

The answer is DON'T! Those shoes are ugly and out of style now. I was never a big fan of those blobby looking shoes. They look best at home as house slippers..that's it.
