What about the people that buy and receive favors from Congress ? Is that good for America ?

In theory the government is here to serve the people. That is the only legitimate function of government. Everything else you see the government doing is not a function of government.

Unfortunately, the government, our elected officials, seem to believe that our function is to serve them. Perhaps one day the people will catch on and start firing all thorthless deadbeats running this country and start hiring people with the real interests of the people at heart.

The people do NOT serve congress. It's the other way around.

Depends if you are a leftist or not. If you are the purpose of an individual is to serve the government.

Once those politicians get elected the have a mind of their own. Kind of like the pecker of a 17 year old boy.
