MLA is a writing style guide used by most colleges to formalize listing of references, punctuation, works cited, footnotes, page layouts, etc. You should be able to buy one at any college book store, or find references online.
That brings back memories. Good luck!

MLA formatting is a style of formatting formal research papers. It stands for Modern Language Association. In this format you must cite both parenthetically and at the end of your paper in a works cited page. Get a good MLA formatting book or go to University of North Carolina Chapel Hills Writing Handouts.

MLA format=your worst nightmare :p It's annoying, but it's gotta be used. I use it all the time when writing papers for my classes. It's a way to cite your sources and set up your paper. pain in the ol' rump!
