Don't know what the genre is, but along the lines of movies such as "Almost Famous", "Lost in Translation".

I like Vonnegut, Fitzgerald, CS Lewis.

i like the Nursery Crime series with the help of Jasper Fforde, the super Over basic and The Fourth bear are the only 2 so far. They characteristic detective Jack Spratt and all varieties of different nursery rhyme characters and are very humorous. additionally, they are not extremely humorous, yet Raymond Chandler's books are truly super. I relatively like the long so long.
