Should I worry or should I wait and use it a few more months to see if I ovulate or not??? I'm so worried that because I didn't ovulate this month, that I might never ovulate. I don't want to jump the gun and I don't want to worry myself sick so I'm looking for a little advice! Thanks!

Oh and my cycles are usually between 28-43 days Never the same amount of days each month but I do have a period every month.

No, just use it a few more cycles and see.

Since your cycles are so irregular though, I wouldn't use it for too long before calling a doctor. If you don't ovulate next cycle, I'd make an appointment and explain the problem. It might be something easily dealt with.

You probably ovulate at least SOME cycles. With cycles that long you might even ovulate twice on some of the long ones. So don't freak yet. Use it another cycle and see.

Good luck.

I'm not sure how those ovulation things work, but what is sounds like to me is that everything is okay! If you have your cycle every 28-43 days then your ovulation cycle could also be off! I don't know how you check your ovulation, but unless you're checking it every day from when one cycle ends to when the other begins then you might not have checked it at the correct time! Though it is COMMON for your ovulation to occur 2 weeks after your last period, this is only true if your cycle is EVERY 28 day or so and even then it isn't always exact! You said you have a cycle every month and the only way this is possible is if you ovulate. Periods only occur 2 weeks after ovulation (according to this website below from webmd.com). Don't worry yourself sick over something that isn't always exact!!! If you feel that you need to then try visiting your OB/GYN or even a fertility doctor! Also check out this website and others from webmd.com!

Are you familiar with the ovulation method of natural family planning? "The Billings Method" is an excellent book.

Once you can recognize the signs that your body gives that you are approaching ovulation, you will know more precicely when to use the ovuation test - especially because your cycles are so irregular. With our first child, I knew my fertility signs so well that we were able to not only conceive the first month we tried, but we were also able to determine the sex of our baby - it all has to do with knowing what signs to look for so that you can know up to 5 days in advance when you are going to ovulate (rather than 24 hours before, which is what the ovulation tests will tell you).

It will also be easier to know when to use the tests if you can help your cycles to become more regular. I used natural progesterone cream, and actually had a prescription for a more potent natural progesterone in the form of a vaginal suppository. The prescription told me what days of the month to use it.

If you have a midwife or an OB/GYN, they should be able to do a simple saliva test to measure your hormone levels. Once your hormone levels are in range, your cycles should become more regular.

Just some suggestions from a mother of 5, who had a hard time getting pregnant with #4 - it took a year, and a few months of using ovulation predictor kits :-)

I hope you find this information helpful.

You could wait another month if that is what you really want to do. However, I think I would go ahead and make an appointment with my doctor. I have never heard of any one skipping a month on ovulating. Good luck to you and I hope everything comes out okay.
