is that some sort of thing that gives excellent graphics that my Tv might not be compatible with. i have a Sony Wega that i bought a year and a half ago....

though 1080i is the highest setting on your console the best picture with the HD cables is from the 720p setting which is truly better than 1080i and your TV sounds like it might be hd ready so if you want you could buy an HD receiver and get the ultimate gaming experience

1080i is the most intense high-definition tv's can offer, and I doubt that your 29 inch lcd is even hd, so basically if you want 1080i quality picture out of your xbox you need to go to best buy and get your self a tv around 50-60 inches or more, which would probably run you about 1,500 dollars or more (if you go cheap as possible), but just to console you a little bit, the whole HD thing when it comes to videogames is overrated, I wouldn't waste the money just for and xbox 360.

Well that just means that Xbox 360 supports it. It is a fairly high level of resolution. You need to have component HDTV cables to be able to access the 1080i though.

yeah, you'll miss out on the high definition that the xbox can deliver.your gonna need an hd tv and also an hdmi cable to experience the full effect.
