My friends think because of my anxiety I cannot handle their honest opinions

i think your friends are just worried about what will happen if they tell you their honest opinions. they don't know how your anxiety attacks are and how serious it may get. they are probably just concerned.

try talking to them and letting them know how you feel. tell them what they should do if you do have an anxiety attack. if things go well, they may be more open to you in the future.

If they think you may have an anxiety attack, they will protect themselves by not bring up any sensitive answers. They need to know your limits.
