I have to conduct an experiment about the paper chromatography . . . but one of the materials that is needed is the Paper Coffee Filters.
But I have no Paper Coffee Filters that I can use for this experiment.
What are the possible alternatives for this material so I have the same result if I am going to use Paper Coffee Filters?

Are tissues alright?

paper towels, napkins, even unruled notebook paper...the more absorbent the better, but just avoid printed lines or patterns that might run with your eluent.

Tissues may work.. The air filter from a car would work to if it is a paper filter. Paper towls would be good if you had plain white ones.
