Attractive doesn't mean just good looking on the outside but encompasses the inner person ,looks, personality, morality, honesty, etc.
Being pretty is an opinion of good looks in an artistic way, The conformity of designs and shapes that are pleasing to the eye.

Attractive is definitely a compliment and it means good looking.
Attractive can be used by men to described women, and by women to describe men, but women would not usually describe a man as pretty. An attractive woman is pretty.
An attractive man is handsome.
If people say you are attractive, then you can be sure you are pretty.
Does that help?

In my personal opinion...one is pretty due to her physical looks...and I may find somebody attractive (although she may not be pretty) because of some qualities within her (inner qualities) or because she has this aura that exudes or emanates from within . I prefer to be attractive than to be pretty because you got what it takes to attract others. Try to observe...there are those that are pretty...even very pretty...but they're not popular ...why? because they don't have the "x" factor to attract. So be happy for having it.

"Attractive" has more to do with a physical response. "Pretty" can apply to inanimate objects. A flower can be pretty but usually not attractive.
