No way
Trust me when your buying a car with 100k miles you want to buy Japanese. The Blazer was consistantly on Consumer Reports least reliable car list throughout it's model year lifecyle.
The Cavalier is good on gas but Honda Civic has it beat in every possible category.

i own a repair shop, and i can tell you these are good vehicles ,,i own a truck that's 95 and it has the same motor as the one your looking at,,the 4,3,,there really good engines and don't give no problems at all,,i have replaced the water pump on mine once in 90 thousand miles,,and that's it,,nothing major at all,,and there safer than a cavalier is ,and will go a lot better also,,a little harder on gas,but i wouldn't have a hard choice choosing over those two,,i think you,d like the blazer though they area a good vehicle, and will last you a long time,if you take care of either one of these you,ll get good service from them,,but id take the blazer any day over the cavalier there a much better value, for the money,,drive it and see what you think,,remember the test drive is free,,good luck,i hope this help,s,,have a good x-mas.

Blazers seem to have never ending problems. I own a cavalier and it is very dependable. Also Cavaliers are much easier to fix than blazers. Blazers are basically always messing up!

I bought a 2000 chev cav z24 with 122k miles on it for $3,000. It only lasted a month before it needed major repairs which i decided against paying for. But that's not because its a bad car. The previous owner had taken the thermostat out, and I didnt know until my radiator blew up. Which made my car overheat so my head blew. Which made my timing chain pop off, and crack my water pump. So cav's are not bad cars, just make sure all the parts are there. So when you buy it put it in the shop immediately for inspection. If I had known the thermostat was gone. I would have only payed $600 for a new thermostat, and radiator. But I decided against getting it inspected, and that price has raised to over $2500.

Cavalier is a better, more reliable vehicle. if you can get some extra money look at an '03 Cobalt, it was the replacement for the Cavalier and is superior in every way.

If you need to GO IN THE SNOW - buy the blazer. If you are not worried about that, then purchase the Cavalier.
It just depends on what you want to do with the vehicle.

CAVALIERS IS A GOOD CAR. I HAVE HAD MINES FOR 6 YEARS AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN IN THE SHOP. AS LONG AS YOU CHANGED THE OIL AND KEEP GAS IN IT. A CAVALIER WILL LAST FOREVER. MY FRIEND HAS A CHEVY BLAZER (ALSO MY DAD) THEY GOT RID OF THEM BECAUSE OF MECHANICAL PROBLEMS.
