I'm looking for a great fantasy cycle (in rench preferably, if not then english). I've allready read the Farseer, Liveship Traders and Tawny Man from Robin Hobb, also A Song of Ice and Fire from Geroge Martin, and while waiting for the final books, i'm looking for something as good, or close enough.... BUT, i'm only looking for finished cycle

The Kane novels by Karl Wagner. If you can find them, this is fantastic, military sword and sorcery in the vein of Conan, but with a lot of dark magic and weird Lovecraft style monsters thrown in.

Kane is the Biblical Cain, the first killer. The world is fantasy, but set (I believe) far in the future, long after the collapse of any kind of advanced civilization and after the death of God Himself. Society and technology is largely medieval, and sorcery is real.

Kane is very much a bad guy, but is the main character. The battle scenes are without peer.

Totally recommended, but you might have to do some searching.

The Lord of the Rings is an epic high fantasy novel written by English academic J. R. R. Tolkien. The story began as a sequel to Tolkien's earlier fantasy book The Hobbit and soon developed into a much larger story. It was written in stages between 1937 and 1949, with much of it being created during World War II.[1] It was originally published in three volumes in 1954 and 1955 (much to Tolkien's annoyance, since he had intended it to be a single volume),[2] and has since been reprinted numerous times and translated into at least 38 languages,[3] becoming one of the most popular works in 20th-century literature.

I am not sure if this fits your criteria but I love the Dragons of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey. I don't even know how many volumes she has written but they include stories about the Dragons and their riders as well as the Harper's of Pern. I would begin with the Dragon riders of Pern trilogy although it is not the chronological beginning they were the first three I read and give all sort of delicious clues and hints as to what has happened and what will be.
