I'm 15. I want to get circumcise, I haven't talk to my dad yet, 'cause I find it a little embarassing. So I'm asking YOU! When did you get circumcise?? (a little personal, but hey, no one gonna remember what you said) What age do you think a male should do it?
Thank you!

Ok so one of you said I don't have a reason. Well, I just wanted to do it and also, because I find it a little annoying. And my dad told me get circumcise when I was little, but I was young and everything involve pain ain't just my thing. Lastly, I'm asian, so it's not common to get circumcise, but since I'm here in US, I guess I should do it. You think it's too late?

Birth is probably the best time to get circumcised.
If not at birth, any other age is fine.
CIRCUMCISION IS PAINLESS WITH ANESTHESIA, EASY AND VIRTUALLY NO-RISK.
Most women prefer a guy with a circumcised penis because it may move inside them in a less friction-based manner. Once he is inside the vagina, the circumcised penis may easily slide up and down to create pleasure for both partners.
Several studies carried out by prestigious research bodies have concluded that uncircumcised penises are more prone to infections and contraction of STD's, including AIDS-HIV. Circumcised men have been proved to be up to seven times less likely to be infected than those who are uncircumcised. It’s just SO MUCH BETTER

Most parents do this a couple days after the baby is born so your way off if you are 15. I suggest you talk to your parents or parent and give them the real reason you want to have this done. I can tell you that some folks say if you are not circumcised you have more feeling in this area and also some girls find it a real turn on to say the least. There must be a reason it wasn't done when you were born so first go to your parent/s and ask them why it isn't a dumb question and then if your set on having it done may I suggest to you that if you bring up the hygiene thing it they may come around. less infection and also basically the mass population has had it done but remember once you do this you can't undo it OK nuff said Oh yea 18 is the right age to do it then your an adult and nobody can stop you.

In the U.S. the common pratice is to circumcise their boys when they are newborn.....2 or 3 days old. Usually it is done bfore taking their newborn boy home from the hospital. Beyond that, there really is no specific or ideal age to get circumcised.....it can be done at any time. You must see your family doctor and discuss your wish to get circumcised, so that the doctor can give you the correct advice on how, where and when to get circumcised. I don't know exactly why you want to get circumcised...you didn't give a reason, but if it is what you desire, only the doctor can help you. Maybe the doctor can explain it to your father. If not, you should talk to your mother, and have her explain it to your father. Either way, your father will have to know about it eventually.
Best of Luck!

Any time you want it done. Before 18 you need to have permission. In infancy, a primary care physician will do it, or the mother's obstretician, or a pediatrician. After infancy your pediatrician may do it or a urologist. Since you are 15 with your parent's permission, a urologist. In anyone these days a local anesthetic is used for an infant, either a numbing cream or a shot to the main penile nerve. In an older child, adolescent, or adult a shot to the penile nerve is used or general anesthesia (asleep all through the brief procedure). In any case there is no pain. I got circumcised as an infant. I had a close friend who had it done about your age.
I don't remember any pain nor does he. For him there was some discomfort for a few days. He went back to school within a week. Everything had healed in 3 weeks. A better time would be during summer vacation.
Most circumcisions are done as an outpatient. Complications are very, very rare.
Go for it.
There was no trouble peeing any time. Erections were prevented with medicine. In either case we had a clamp not a free hand surgeon. There were no stiches in our outcome. Only a light, hair line scar remained with slightly different skin colors on either side of the scar.

First off, I don't get circumcised coz I'm a girl! ^_^
Anyway, here in the Philippines, circumcision is like a tradition. Usually, boys get circumcised when they are at the age of 12-14 or in their teenage years. But there is a thing called adult circumcision, obviously it's for adults. You're only 15 and not too late to get circumcised! Go for it if yo really want to! :-)

Firstly, lets get this straight - IT IS FAR BETTER TO BE CIRCUMCISED! It can be done at any age (I was 40 when I had my original circumcision) so just get on with it - it's not painful, because you will be given an anaesthetic and you will be very pleased afterwards. When you are circumcised, you will have better hygiene, comfort, appearance and FAR better sexual sensation during intercourse (so will your female partner!) All males should be circumcised.

I'm Asian, I'm in the US (there is no really I guess I should do it), I'm not circumcised, and I've never had any issues with it. I think a male should get it done at any age he feels comfortable to get it done (so I'm against it being done to newborns or really young boys). So if you feel comfortable enough to ask, then it's your choice and you can get it done.
I don't understand, really, why you'd want it done. "Just because" isn't really a good reason in my mind, and I don't find mine annoying. But if it's something you REALLY want to get done, just ask and get over the embarassment. But yeah, do it over the summer, cuz it'll probably hurt and then be sore for a few weeks.

well usually the parents are the ones to chose rather to have the child circumsized or not when the women is pregnant and they cicumsize the baby boy the day he goes home from the hospital. but i guess if you really want it done they could put you to sleep while they do it. but they usually dont put babies to sleep when they have it done. getting circumsized reduces risks of urinary infections and stuff. According to the AAP, research suggests that there may be some medical benefits to circumcision. Boys who have been circumcised are at reduced risk for:
Foreskin infections
Urinary tract infections
Penile cancer
Sexually transmitted diseases
Phimosis, a condition in uncircumcised males that makes foreskin retraction impossible
and here is the link

I got my son circumcised at birth. With you being any older it`s going to hurt like heck, but you need to get it done ASAP,b/c males not being circumcised causes ALOT of infections, and the longer you wait the more painful it will be.The reason i know is b/c my step brother was not circumcised at birth and he waited till he was 18 and got it done.......and in that process he got manyyyyyyyyy of infections and thought he was dying at times b/c it hurt him soooooooooo bad.So you may want to talk with your dad hun and get it done as soon as you can. I hope this will help you make you decision.God bless you and take care of yourself.
