honey, dont listen to these kids. they are close minded.
witchcraft has been here far longer than christianity, and hell...
as long as your intentions are good. if you intend on doing black magick, i must guide you against it, for your not only doing bad, but bad does the same back to you.
I also would suggest that you study a bit about witchcraft before you practice it, it can be dangerous. its not "satanic"
the only that thats satanic are people that worship satan.
I am a witch, and i worship the God and Goddess. there is no satan in my mind.
have fun with your life, and be careful with your spells.
here is a great site to look at... you will have to join, and wait a few days, but its well worth it. the people there are very friendly. its the best site ive found yet...

yes, no.
Paganism- where magic began- was around for hundreds and hundreds of years. When Christianity invaded the land, it wasn't so much to give away fire insurance. The motivation was much more selfish than that. The Christians wanted to conquer the lands, so the poor people would pay homage (and pay tithe, which is just another tax) to the Catholic Church in Rome. The conquering "priests" tore down the pagan holy places and ordered churches to be built in their place. What the priests did not know was that the locals Incorporated pagan symbols through out the buildings. The devil does not have horns anywhere in the bible. That image came about because The Green Man, also called the Horned God was called the devil so the local people would be afraid. Fear was what the church in Rome used frequently. As a matter of fact during "the burning times" 2 MILLION men children and women were BURNED ALIVE at the stake for practicing acts that they were doing for centuries. Just think, if it didn't work, why would the spend very valuable time energy and resources to continue doing it??

Satanist is just a branch off of Christianity. Pagans do not acknowledge the existence of the devil or hell.

That depends on what kind of magic you are using and what your beliefs about hell happen to be.

I am a Celtic Reconstructionist pagan, and due to negative experiences using magic, or as I see it, using the energy and elements to alter events, I am not meant to use these forces, just respect them.

If you are interested in witchcraft, it is best to get some guidance. While you may study as a solitary, guidance is helpful. Try a book, or http://www.witchvox.com for more information.

From a Christian perspective, yes, you will go to hell. Generally, Christians are more accepting of herbalism and folklore (which can/has been considered witchcraft) but they are not fond of casting a circle of protection, calling on the elements to initiate change, etc.

Good luck, stay safe, blessed be!

I thought most people that did witchcraft didn't believe in hell...if there is no hell then how can you go? so then it would be ok to use magic spells as long as they are for good. Use your sense of morality to decide which spells are ok and which are not

Witchcraft refering to any wiccan or pagan religion, does not belive in a hell so how can you go there?
Now as far as the wiccan rede it states and harm ye none, do as you will.
This gives you the choice of free will but also states to not harm anyone.
So if you are using your spells with anything other than good intentions or doing spells for or against other people you are breaking the rede in which karma will turn around and bite ya.

Sure it's ok to use magic. Just don't use it on anyone else it can mess with your karma. I wanna learn some love spells. I wish I could cast them though I don't know how. Well according to the bible you can go to hell for anything. So looks like theres a good chance for you. If you beileve there is a hell. As for me I don't beileve in a firey pit of burning. You'll just die and get reincarnated.

It depends on what you mean by witchcraft. I f you mean Wicca then no a Wicca is a naturalistic religion that has more to do with the releasing of positive or negative energy into the universe, kinda like Karma. if not well then... um... well..ok.
