In reference to an answer you gave to the closeted gay kid's question: I want to tell you, as an anthropologist (a person who studies culture) and as a straight guy, that gay people are not bad for society. Anthropologists (that includes archaeologists and linguists, too) have been researching this for decades, and, believe me, if there were any evidence that homosexuality was detrimental to society, we'd have found it. Instead, evidence supports the notion that the presence of homosexuality in a society is completely normal, and has never led to the downfall of any culture.

The American Anthropological Association sent a letter to President Bush saying pretty much what I've just told you. The AAA sent the letter in response to Mr. Bush's comment that gay marriage would lead to the downfall of civilization. Germany is releasing some of it's records from WWII, and they might have some propaganda materials that relate to what you are looking for. That is the last time those kind of ideas were popular.

There are so many overly sensitive people in this section that I am afraid your post may not remain up for long.

I support free speech for everyone, but most of the people in this section don't, I'm afraid.

But if you are insistent on posting silly questions here, please at least make them interesting or funny. The only reason I am bothering to respond is boredom. I can't go outside and work on any projects because it's cold enough to freeze my t its off here.

BTW, I am gay. So, as one gay person to another, I recommend onanism. When I feel angry/hateful after a long hard day, I find that a little 'self abuse' really takes the edge off. Beats the heck out of beer every time.
