Here are some good ones:
Katy ISD http://www.katyisd.org/
Clear Creek ISD http://www.ccisd.net/
Klein ISD http://www.kleinisd.net/
Fort Bend ISD http://www.fortbend.k12.tx.us/
Humble ISD
Spring ISD
Here are the bad ones:
Aldine ISD
Alief ISD Been there...done that.....Not a good experience!!!!
Channelview ISD Not safe at all......not a good part of town!
Conroe ISD If you have a really smart kid or one that requires MHMR services...DO NOT live in this ISD!!!
Crosby ISD
Cypress-Fairbanks ISD My brother-in-law, age 15, has had NOTHING but problems with this school district and getting the help that he requires. At all the schools he has attended, everyone right up to the counselors and principals have been idiots! It seems to be WIDE spread. And all that "spending" that they say is benefiting the kids is a bunch of baloney! One of the local news channels did a huge piece on Cy-Fair's "spending"! It was quite enlightening!
Deer Park ISD Not bad if you don't mind you kids speaking Spanish better than English and if you don't mind the smell of chemical plants!
Galena Park ISD See Channelview
Goose Creek ISD Just as bad as North Forest
Houston ISD Private schools or home schooling are HIGHLY recommended if you live in this school district.
Huffman ISD
La Porte ISDSee Deer Park
North Forest ISD The State is going to take this ISD over.
Pasadena ISD See Deer Park
Sheldon ISD
Spring Branch ISD A friend of our teaches there and he thinks that he has entered one of the rings of hell. My husband has other teacher friends say that are having a difficult time teaching....productively teaching in the classroom.....and they are having to learn Spanish because the students will not speak in English in the classroom.
If I do not have a school district listed, I don't have enough information to put them on this list.

Most folks might reply no; however I understand tons of well, studious, youngsters that pass there, so do not consider all is dangerous within the district. One of the issues with Alief is it is zoning coverage. In so much Houston faculties, you'll be able to in most cases depend at the faculties that draw from first-rate surrounding neighborhoods. In Alief, that is handiest well via Middle School. Their High Schools combine the district pupil frame through a lottery. As the various Alief neighborhoods have declined, bigger-off households have left the field in droves.

The only one I can comment on is Cy-Fair ISD. I attended here along with almost everyone else I know (my age). It really is a great district. I never had any problems, they encouraged learning and extracurricular activities. I was in advanced courses and it was a great program to prepare me for college. Good luck!

i think a better way to approach this is to think of what areas you can afford to live in and what school districts are available there. and then head to greatschools.net and look up some of the info. also, go visit the schools in your potential neighborhoods. and i hate to say it, but unfortunately it tends to be true, if you live in the wealthier sides of districts, the schools tend to be much better than the poorer sides.
