It's brand new and I just installed the software and everything. I plugged it into the USB port and the little light on the power buttom turns blue, but when I use the "power" button, it won't turn on and show the "battery/charging" screen on the player. Also, it says it's not connected on my computer. So, what's going on? Also, would buying a not "creative brand" home charger be bad for my player? Like one off ebay, or is it fine too? Thanks.

Mine's not a Vision, but I bought a Creative Zen V, and it needed to be just about fully-charged right out of the box. Kind of odd, but no big deal, really. When it's plugged in to your computer, it automatically starts charging, so you have to cancel that process if you want to use the player while it's still plugged in. I don't know about chargers, though, since I just charge mine from my computer.

Try plugging it into the USB ports on the back of your computer. In order to charge, the ports must be powered, and sometimes the front ports are not. This is what was told to me by the people at Apple (iPod vs. Zen, but same concept).

It comes with the charger when you buy it. Plug it into the wall till chaged fully, then hook up to computer. Software launches automatically.
