I can't imagine anyone choosing Chicago over Miami. Think about the terrible winters in Chicago. Now think about the warm beaches and beautiful ocean in Miami. No contest there.

Chicago wins-the winter is tough but actually short and you can dress for cold but Miami is unbearable hot so you have to live indoors with air conditioning all the time. At least in Chicago you can have open windows and be comfortable for much of the time. Plus Chicago has more to offer in restaurants, theater, museums, sports and wonderful beaches with no sharks.
