It is a "Release Dream". They are usually more chaotic and confusing than most other dreams. These type of dreams help us let go of the emotional stress we feel in everyday life.

Flood = changes, difficulties
Dad is driving = support
Grandma is in the back = indirect support
Could not escape this flood in your case means you are having difficulties facing problems. Projecting your deceased parents could mean subconsciously you are seeking for support. They are direct and indirect support. However, you are not confident enough because there may be trusting in your support and that is why you couldn't escape the flood. Remember, your dad and grandma are only symbols. They don't necessarily mean they will come alive to haunt you or give you message. The dream is coming out from your subconscious mind

The dream to me signals that you have emotions that are
bothering you that you are trying to control. Hence the water
flowing and becoming a flood. Similar to the phrase "Torrent of
emotion". One question: How do you feel about your grandmother in
the dream? How did she stand out from everyone around you?
Have you talked with a professional about what their loss meant to you? Deaths especially what you describe are very destructive to a psyche. Even when someone believes they have "gotten over" the death of a loved one there is still residual pain or feelings of helplessness.
I recommend you keep a dream diary. And buy a good book on dream interpretation. The larger the tome the better. There are many different symbols in a dream dictionary that help to interpret dreams. And see someone even if it is for a couple of sessions you will notice an improvement in your mood and perspective on life.

Water in a dream can mean many things depending on how it's perceived. Good water dreams are usually about rebirth, change and cleansing. A scary flood dream can mean feeling very overwelmed in life, frightened and the car in the middle means that the box that would normally take you out of the mess is unable to get you out. It would be interesting to know if your dad was driving or if you were. Would have to have more information about your dad and grandmother and what they were doing and what your role was to give you a complete analysis. Good luck and relax. I can imagine how tough things are for you without your parents.

Emotionally and spiritually you are not yet recovered from the trauma of murder/suicide. Your father (male authority) is in the 'driver's seat" ...you are not in a position of control. Your grandmas survives...she is a passenger like you. I gather from this that your mother would have been in the back seat...therefore the dead victim. The only escape from being overwhelmed by these circumstances is to let go...forgive your parents and try to understand the pain and despair that probably motivated the trauma. This is one of the hardest things you will ever have to do. Murder and suicide leave victims. There is also sometimes a residue of guilt at surviving. Let go...we never fully understand any one else...be gentle to you ...enough!

Water means rebirth, cleansing, etc.
What I get from your dream, is you miss your grandmother and her reassuring ways. Your dad driving the car trying to escape the flood..you do miss your dads advise, etc. The car represents you not wanting to let go of the them, and in fact are running from your own inner healing that is represented by the water(flood)
Relax, realize and accept they are no longer with you in the physical, but the love and what you where taught by your family can never be removed. You are capable of taking care of yourself, and over coming what ever it is that you are now troubled by. Stand tall and firm, remember what they taught you, and move forward. Not saying it will be easy; BUT you can and will accomplish it. Be well and know you are loved more than you will ever realize.

Usually dreaming of a flood means that you are still feeling overwhelmed by something or still have issues you haven't fully dealt with. Because of the history involving the passing of your parents it is very understandable that reaching closure would take quite some time and several stages. Our brains have amazing ways of telling us when they are getting ready to revisit undealt with issues. I wish you the best with finding the answer that is right for you.

Ladies often dream about water or flooding. When they feel overwellmed by pressure from a boyfriend, peers etc..... Just say no until you are ready. Also you simply don't want anyone disappointed by your decision. But I do understand what you are going thru. So again just say no if he tell you how much he loves you and he tells you that you need you to do this. Then you can be sure of onething all he cares about is himself. And you will be stuck paying the price for allowing him to use you....................... I know that it is not about school. Or sneaking out for you are to free of a person and you don't have to do that... So just wait until you are ready........................................

i won't be in a position to tell in case you're woman or no longer. Dreaming approximately flowing water frequently has to do with a woman's menstrual cycle. Water, or any fluid it incredibly is flowing/overflowing is a basic image for menstrual blood and could take place as we communicate past to or for the period of a woman's era. Water could additionally signify the subconscious and thoughts. A flood, extensive wave, or wall of water can signify an boost in subconscious potential or overwhelming thoughts (sexuality, concern, or anger) Waves are basic photos in the 0.33 trimester of being pregnant. there are a number of difficulty-free techniques to interpret objectives. frequently that's greater important for the guy to have the objectives to truly study what's in them and what the symbols propose to them in my opinion. think of heavily approximately what you're seeing in those objectives. Write them down. Take each little thing aside and relate it to you. you're being sent some form of message. in basic terms you could decide what that's.

It probably has a meaning. The flood can symbolize a hard time, struggles, confusion, or persecution... It could have to do with your relationship with your dad and grandma. I would think about what it could mean. Hey, it could be insignificant....or not.
