It's not red or anything, it looks fine. I was just concerned because it didn't bleed the first time I changed it.

Hello, I am a nurse and I had my belly button pierced also. I'm 23 =0). I had it done the same time my best friend had hers done ... hers healed, mine never did. It was not infected ... and after 9 months of not healing .... it was proof that my body had rejected it. If it is red, has puss, swollen, you have a fever ... it may be infected. But if it just hasn't healed and still looks like a fresh piercing ... most likely your body isn't accepting the foreign object. Hope you're not plan on getting breast implants. If your body rejects one thing... it might reject another. I had to put my breast augmentation off....... just for the fact my body reacts to foreign objects so strongly.

Do u wear other jewelry? Could be an allergic reaction to the metal or the start of an infection. I would take it out and clean it, then put some Neosporin right on the earring and put the original one back in. Keep applying the Neosporin, it will help if there is an infection. Cleaning it twice a day with a q-tip and some jewelry cleaner like the kind you get when you pierce your ears might help too. Good luck ...

Yes, when you first got your belly button pierced, you took care of that with some lotion. That kept the infection away. Start that again, continue for at least 2 weeks.

You must have used a ring or post that you were allergic, I only use 10k or 14k that is the only ones that will not get infected,. They are more expensive but I now have 8 (5 years later).

you have have been given an infection. I had mine pierced a mutually as in the past too and it replaced into high quality and each little thing yet when I replaced the jewel in it it have been given annoyed lower back and grew to become a sprint contaminated. I merely used an anti-bacterial spray on a daily basis and made confident i wiped clean around the tummy button known. Now its lower back to its regular way and each little thing is high quality. solid success :-)

It takes up to a whole year for those to heal. Just keep an eye on it and go to the doctor right away if it gets infected.

Some major signs of it getting infected would be if it turns pinkish/red and then darkens to green/purple, the same color as some bruises do. I suggest going to a doctor if you see any of this happening.

You should have been worried when the thought of getting your belly button pierced first crossed your mind.

As you can tell, I don't care for it, just as most respectable men that I know don't either.

I agree, you might get or already have an infection. I think you should go to the doctor and have the area professionally treated.
