Many world travelers, having spoken to common folk in foreign countries, have come away with the impression that what you ask is the case in many places. When engaged in political discussions about the U.S., many foreigners have said they still love Americans, but they don't agree with U.S. foreign policy or U.S. leaders concerning those policies. Some foreigners, as in England, have been vehemently opposed to our president and, in fact, their own prime minister for siding with him. Tony Blair's too cozy relationship with the Bush Administration is said to have cost him his job among his own party members, who actively militated for his removal from office.
