I have Cricket, and I like it. No credit check, no contracts. Unlimited local minutes, 500 long distance minutes. Unlimited texts, voicemail, and call waiting. I pay only $45 a month. Always, never goes up because they give unlimited minutes. Also because they have unlimited minutes, they don't try to cheat you and charge you for calls under a minute, for example. Or wrong numbers, or when you check your voicemail, etc.

As the last post said Tracphone but let me tell ya even at the best possible rate they are still very pricey if you want to talk lots. It use to cost about 30 bucks for 125 minutes.

CVS and Rite-Aid and Walgreens sell a phone that doesn't require a credit card. It's called a TracPhone. Other companies make Pay-as-you go phones.
