The Great Room -- now that I am (FINALLY!) an Empty Nesting Single Retiree -- I am going through everything that was left at my home -- clothes, toys, all the stuff accumulated over a lifetime with two disabled children (who are now independent) -- and some is going to trash (the broken stuff), some is going to charities (the old clothes and excess things), and some is going to stay (what I want to have here to enjoy). The sorting, the cleaning, the renovating and re-purposing of the rooms of the home all means that my Great Room is Re-Purposing and Re-doing for ALL things IS located there -- and yes, It is cluttered (right now), and I am busy -- very, very busy.

My Kitchen, I love to cook, my kids and grand kids settle there first, my 3 dogs sleep under the table there, My plants are there, and the feeling of home is in the kitchen.
