I am trying to convert some pics that are currently saved as jpg to gif so that I can use the Microsoft GIF animator to add glitter, etc. Does anyone know how I can do this? thanks!

Just open the picture in whichever pic software you are using, after completing all the modification, click save as or save with ".gif" for example is you want to keep the picture name cool, write "cool.gif"

Try placing your cursor over the picture and clicking the right hand mouse button. One of the options you see should be "Save image as". Just save it but take note of where it's being saved. Usually My docs. It will be saved in the same format as the picture in word. You then need to open the picture with a photo editor and "Save As", using JPG or GIF. JPG is for photos, GIF is for comic book style line drawings and type.

open the pic in paint. then click file, save as...then in the window that opens up, change the format from jpg to gif.

this will leave you a jpg version but give you a gif version of the same file

Open the image in Microsoft paint and then click file >save as. there should be an option in the file type menu that says gif. Voila!

Open them in Paint, which is located under the Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories, folder.

Then go to File -> Save As, under "Save as Type" select GIF.

Open it on some program, then save as .gif. You can save it as .gif if you look at the drop menu for 'save as'.
