for lp's, go to a bookstore, such as barnes and noble, and consult one of the goldmine catalogs. pay attention to the description of the various grades in the front of the book. condition is the most important indicator of value. you must grade both the disc and the jacket to obtain the correct value.

You might try a place like "Half Price Books". There are also used record shops around. Just remember, they make a profit by paying you next to nothing then selling them for much, much more.

Very few old recordings are worth all that much, sorry to say. If they are very rare, or signed, that can be a different story.
