My Bf's Friend is an Educated Idiot! .......................... let me give u an example..
He is an Accountant, and does that Tax thingy ...That is the Educated part of him, now the Idiot side..Once, him my bf and an other friend where at a shopping mall parking area, they were trying to get out of the parking area to come back home, while trying to get out of the parking lot, there were 2 big posts, one infront of his car and the other behind, now this guy reversed to try and get out and while doing that he bumped into this huge post, so he went forward and bumped with the other post, they eventually got out. Other things like, when they are driving and he does not know the way, someone would tell him to turn left at the next street, and he would drive right past it and be like " ok so where do i turn now?"..there are alot more things i could go on about..but then i'll be here for a while and i dont want to waste more of your time.

Yes! Book learning does not mean a person has any common sense. Being capable of memorizing things by rote does not mean you can put the facts together and come up with something useful.

Education is what you get from an institution of teaching. Intelligence is your ability to facts related and apparently unrelated and put them to practical use.

I'm gonna do a double take on this question. First, the short answer: Yes, it's true, you can be an educated idiot.

Second of all: How much education do YOU have? You don't seem to have much in the way of spelling or grammar. It's "someone", "with", "degrees", and "calling". You might wanna work on that.

Secondly, to the person who said

"yes do u know some people in the KKK are CEOs in some companies? do u know that some people with diplomas from freaking harvard are sponsering Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka and did u know that there are some doctors who also sponsor the terrorist of abortion clinics...yes my friend true and sad!"

First, you get a DEGREE from a University. You get a DIPLOMA from a college (known to Americans as "Community colleges" or "Junior colleges).

Secondly, abortion clinics aren't acts of terrorism. Doctors performing abortions aren't strapping on explosive vests to kill people in the name of religion, or "Jihad", or whatever terroristic stereotype you'd like to use. Abortion is and should be a right.

How would you feel if you got raped and pregnant, and were going to bear a child? Would you turn to "terrorism" to get an abortion then?

God you people piss me off.

To me an educated idiot is a person with a degree in a certain field and begin telling someone with experience how to do it. Not everything goes as intended in real life.

Yeah, i know a lot of them- people who're properly-knowledgeable are often plenty extra narrow-minded and unwilling to compromise on thinking-varieties (in an attempt to maintain an inflated ego), intelligence isn't comparable to information, or perhaps subject-unfastened experience. I even have pals who've masters stages and might't even artwork a showering maching.

unfortunately yes, having an education does not necessarily make someone intelligent.
Einstein did horrible in school and he is considered one of the world's greatest minds.
You just never know.

Yes, A person can have all book knowledge, then can't work a TV remote, or buy bread and milk correctly.
