Al Capone only had one child, his son Albert Francis "Sonny" Capone.
Sonny married Diana Ruth Casey, his high school sweetheart, in 1941; they had four children, all girls. He held a variety of jobs, from florist to tire salesman. Both he and Diana were members of the National Pistol Association of America, and she was often a better marksman than her husband.
Basically, Sonny led a straight and lawful life with one noted exception. While shopping in a local supermarket, he had an irresistible urge to steal some transistor radio batteries and two bottles of aspirin, totaling $3.50. "Everybody has a little larceny in him, I guess," said Sonny to the judge, who gave him two years' probation based on his exemplary past.
The following year, 1966, Albert Francis Capone changed his name to Albert Francis.
Sonny divorced Casey and later remarried.
Today, the Mafia is still the dominant organized crime group in the United States, but its power and influence continues to decline due to aggressive FBI investigations which have led to mob informants, violation of mob rules, family infighting, and death or imprisonment of its top leaders. Recent setbacks include relentless prosecution of the Five Families and arrests of the Chicago Outfit's hierarchy.
According to Selwyn Raab, author of "Five Families: The Rise, Decline, and Resurgence of America's Most Powerful Mafia Empires", after 9/11 the FBI has redirected most of its attention to finding terrorists, which led to a resurgence of Mafia activity in the U.S.

One correction. Al Capone was not a member of the Mafia. He was Neapolitan and a Member of that cities organization, the Camora. Only one with a Sicilian father can be a member of the Mafia. They all did business together, but the blood between New York and Chicago was always bad, because of trust issues between Neapolitans and Sicilians.
PS When Capone first started rising in Chicago, things were somewhat mixed, but he did fight against pure Sicilian gangs.

"Al Capone
Al Capone is America's best known gangster and the single greatest symbol of the collapse of law and order in the United States during the 1920s Prohibition era. Capone had a leading role in the illegal activities that lent Chicago its reputation as a lawless city."

capone was not Sicilian, so was not of the 'elite' Italian Mafia that we're so used to. The five crime families still run NY and i'm sure all the major cities. The Gambino's are run by John Gotti's son.... life goes on.

I don't believe he has any acknowledged children. The Mafia still exists, it's mostly legit now. They never did like the drug trade.
