no! my mans into the goth subculture and hes christian. who ever says goth is bad or are satanists are pretty dumb! someones always trying to put another person down. dont buy into the hype. and emo's bull, its nothing like goth, just an imatation

i get very annoyed with the stereotypes...
but don't take any offense.
you're not doing any stereotyping, you're doing the right thing by wanting to learn.
just because someone wears a lot of black and listens to industrial or heavy metal type music does not automatically mean they are "gothic"
never assume.

Gothic is just a word to describe something, usually architecture, that emphasizes something grotesque or mysterious. I has evolved into what people now call "gothic".

not really, although the style choices that group of people make can sometimes be misconstrued as wanting to be seen as satanic (lots of dark colors, purple, red, black). gothic just means that you like the combination of dark colors, that kind of music (I think it's like marilyn manson, kitty type music) and the dark makeup and you hang with other gothic people. i used to be one. It's def NOT abotu worshipping or honoring satan.

No No No... It's personal expression! I'm not satanic, and I love the style, tats, piercing, and DAMMIT.. I LOVE the colors BLACK, pink, and purple. It's a stereotype. Dress the way u want!! My 12 year old adores the style, and she goes to church REGULARLY.
