Because most people think that freedom of religion means that they get to impose their religion and beliefs on others especially the worst off deviants that are gay like me.

What many religious people would impose is not their religion as much as they would make a law stating that it is against the law to be gay.I have travelled to different places in the world where people have told me what the punishment is for being GAY..it would make you sick...yes it exists and is still practised.....but not standing behind their religion...they simply hate them. (gays) Hitler not only killed Jews but Christians,Muslims, disabled people and yes homosexuals...he hated them. was he religious?...would you believe there are still countries where religion is not important at all. Public stonings of homosexuals is entertainment. I have gone off topic and I am so sorry.I am not gay but I validate in gay peoples struggles....this comes from my heart with compassion. I teach my children this too.

Nice Name.

And, sure they would. But those are people like fundamentalist Muslims, who only want you to say that you submit to Allah, but don't give a crap what you feel. And also people who call themselves Christians, but do not practice their religion.

Christians are supposed to share the good news of Jesus love, and what it means for us. Not take away people's freedom of choice using the government. Everyone is supposed to be free to do right, and also free to sin, so long as they are not violating anothers right to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness.

May you know the Lord Jesus and have peace.

Some probably will, they do now! I have never done that, I don't feel that it is my place to impose anything on anyone.
