It's all very well to see them on-line,
But would it scare you to see one for real?

I've got one on the chair in my bedroom. He's only got one eye and is stuffed with straw. I'm not afraid of him. I'm afraid I'll lose him!
I saw bears for real in a circus being forced up a ladder by a bloke with an electric stunner attached to a stick. That didn't frighten me, it sickened me.
They brought the bear to my school and performed in our school hall. The infants cried because the 'nasty man was hurting the bear'.
I've seen a bear in the woods in Sinai (Romania). It looked at me and I looked at her. She turned round and lolloped away. She didn't frighten me, I was just full of wonder that I'd seen a bear running free. Maybe if she'd run AT me, I may have thought differently!

It would scare the living sh*t out of me, mate.

What is it you're supposed to do? I read somewhere that you're supposed to keep perfectly still. Or maybe you're supposed to run like h*ll?

Can't remember. I'll just steer well clear. Which is easy enough to do in Scotland.

it's one of my biggest fears,,,,,,,,,, when I go for a walk in the redwoods I whistle really loud, that's what I heard you were suppose to do?? black bears are not as aggressive I heard,,,,,, you wouldn't catch me pitchen a tent in the rockys.
