I was just thinking the same thing myself this morning...... I remember the days when almost the entire test team was from WA....... and its from that time and because of what I suspect may be a slight eastern state jealousy (at that time), that people like Damian M and Hussey have had so much trouble. I mean it took Hussey ten years to get into the squad and Damien has more than once been the "whipping post" when the team did badly in the past. I felt so sorry for him during the recent massive celebrations at Adelaide where he must have known deep in his heart that his time was up..... Sad to see any great sportsman go that way but it can be a cruel game for some. I'll still say that his averages are not so bad that he should have walked away from the game at this stage... 2 massive wins in an ashes series and a home town game coming up?? So so sad that this has happened even if he had thought about retiring soon. I honestly feel he had pressure applied from wider circles than just his team mates etc. There are some old men of cricket who are in my opinion, just like Fathers in Law of the game. I'd hate to be a player who was both struggling a little and also aging a little too. Anyway, just my feelings and a huge thank you to DM for all of his fantastic cricket over all these years. Go WA........

They've been quite good this season. Just lost too many close games. The stars would make some difference, though in the past they have had a tendency to flop for WA, esp. Gilly.

Hopefully they'll send Harmison and co. on a hunt tomorrow as well.

All the state teams would perform better with their Aussie stars!
The tigers would love to have Ponting - probably the best batsman in the world atm in their line-up. They are doing brilliantly atm, but probably would have killed SA with Punter in.

They will become a formidable team with the return of their stars back in the team.
