Are Jason Kidd and Steve Nash still the two best point guards in the league?

As good as Chris Paul is, he's not there yet. Yesterday's game had two point guards showing us what being a point guard is all about. They are definitely the golden standard of point guards

Yeah but even if Kidd is slower he can still put up 38 points 14 rebs and 14 asts. Until Chris Paul and Baron Davis come off microfracture surgeries and does that, i'm not prepared to say they're better. Chris Paul is great but still has his bad nights, Jason Kidd bring is every single night

Yeah and that's what a good point guard is supposed to do isn't it? Not to score a lot of points but to make everyone else better. duh

without a doubt, steve nash and jason kidd are two of the best point guards of our generation, and i will come out and say that kidd is easily top 5 PG of all time, up there with the likes of John Stockton and Magic Johnson. The man is a walking triple double, and is solid in every aspect of the game. He can defend 3 positions, is a flawless floor general, and is a clutch performer to boot. in fact, probably the most incredible thing about jkidd is his ability to adapt. You'll remember he tore up the league in the mid90s with dallas, on a shabby team, and even underwent microfracture surgery, sapping him of the little explosiveness he had. he adapted, and still averages ridiculous stats for a 6'4 point guard. no doubt. top 5 PG. nash...i don't think he was an overwhelming player for much of his career, because he wasn't in his ideal run-n-gun offense. of course, the last two years probably make up for it, but he is a sad defender, not that he doesn't try, but he's a skinny 6'3, and any half-assed 2G can post him easily. he's also a clutch shooter, and a better shooter from the 3, but i'd take kidd's career over nash's any day.

Jason Kidd is a step slower than he used to be and not a good enough shooter to be ranked as one of the two best point guards in the league. Nash still is, though. I would say Chris Paul and a healthy Baron Davis are both better than Kidd, and there might be others, too.

Yes. Kidd is nearly averaging a triple double a game! Steve Nash is the 2 time raining MVP whose stats are better this year than last. They are without a doubt the 2 best point guards in the league. Chris Paul will get there one day but he's still young and developing.

Kidd is a greater finished participant. He does each thing and surely performs protection. Nash does not even attempt to gaurd his guy. Nash performs with Amare, Shawn Marion, Boris Diaw, Lehandro Barbosa, Raja Bell, and so on. Nash performs with Carter and Jefferson. Nash has a greater helpful suppporting forged. Nash gets greater assists because of the equipment the Suns play in. Thay play in a run and gun variety Nash gets many, many, oppurtunities for assists and pictures. The Nets additionally play in a slower equipment, giving Kidd much less opportunities for stats, yet Kidd nonetheless places up 15, 8, 10 a interest. whether, Kidd making it to the finals two times became into very deceptive. The East became into genuinely undesirable those years. Nash has had to shield the Spurs, the Mavs, and different super communities.
