Italy has two mountain ranges, the Appenines are probably the more well-known, while the Dolomites are a range of the European Alps that arc west into Austria.

Italys mountain range is the dolomites, theres a story about a prince and a princess who lived in the mountains they are extrodinary , any something aobut the prince could not return to the home of the princess or he would go blind and of course she wasnted to go home so he had some gnomes create the light of the moon so she would be happy, something like that, I heard it when I visted the Dolomited years ago.

apennines runs the whole length of italy.
