Some BCP's you do gain weight. Years ago I took some BCP's (forget the name of them) and I gained weight like crazy.

I then went on depo, and I gained a little weight but it was ok. Was on depo for almost five years, then found out about some scary side affects (bone density check after five years YIKES) and went to BCP's.

I am currently on Kariva, for almost a year, and I've fluctuated in my weight. But I do not feel it was due to the drugs, it was due to my eating habits.

In some people it can make you gain a few pounds just like hormone pills at menopause. If you watch what you eat though, you should be O.K.

Yes, I gained 8lbs the first week, maybe talk to your Dr about another alternative, didn't say if you were taking them to guard against pregnancy or just to regulate? good luck.

yes it does. that is why it is best to take it before bed. you'll be less likely to feel hungry while you are asleep.
