I don't think so, Jack Nicholson was exactly what I had pictured the Joker as. Someone who was extremely intelligent and a powerful terrorist, but in the end just a joke.

No, of course not. Could you picture a sniggering sinister Heath Ledger in a Joker costume? Well, not in a million years. The Joker was tailor made for THE Jack Nicholson. Only way they could do justice to the role is to have Nicholson back for the movie.

Jack Nicholson's Joker was NOT a faithful representation of the Joker from the comics. He did an awesome job as a villain, don't get me wrong, but he didn't quite nail the true sense of insanity that consumes the Joker. I blame Tim Burton, for not wanting to make a faithful adaptation of Batman, for that (he created his own version of the Batman and his villains, you could say).

I think Christopher Nolan has truly understood what Batman is all about and, under his very watchful eye, Heath Ledger could very possibly be the best version of the Joker outside of the comics yet. Don't judge him because of Brokeback Mountain.

ok, as a existence long Batman fan, I advise a guy who has certainly observed the comics for practically 27 years, Nicholson replaced into no longer a solid Joker. the guy somewhat did no longer act interior the action picture, he merely performed himself. each and all of the Burton/Schumacher action pictures have been poor. i'm a huge Burton fan yet his Batman replaced into way off. I believe Nolan. He did a great interest with starts. i don't understand who Heath Ledger is, yet I even have faith in this determination.
