You can add any color really to the neutrals you described. Is there a color that you really love or that you know looks good on you? Sounds like you have some good basics to build with. I would get some pieces in colors that you like looking at. You really can't go wrong. A black or brown or grey or tan skirt or pants or jacket looks great with anything. The only color combination that I think does not work is black and orange. If you have time to shop at leisure, why not try some colors and/or combinations that you might not initially consider? Like a lilac, pink or robin's egg blue blouse with the tan or brown looks amazing and it's a refreshing combination. But if you like darker colors there are many out there to choose from. Or try a simple pattern like a stripe.

try colors that will bring out your hair or eyes or that look good on your skin tone, red would possible match most of your pieces and white tops are always nice in the winter (sweaters, long sleeved etc)

I would try to start with red, black, or beige so that you can mix and match more often.

Add some color! But, not too much. Maybe like lavender, light green, pink, and other colors. Also black!
