Trend Micro is better by reputation and is certainly better for novice users, as well it uses less memory. Conversely, I have had Trend miss more spyware then some other products, and am now using AVG Anti-Malware (Anti-virus + Anti-spyware). It is doing the job nicely. Another pro about Trend though is that malicious and safe programs won't be able to change your computer settings or auto-start without your approval -- this in itself makes it worth getting. So in the end -- both are good but Trend is better for the average user.

avg is great. i've never heard of trend micro before.... but you can download the free version of avg from www.windowsmarketplace.com and it's a trusted site. avg free edition is great,... updates everyday, and will run a daily virus check if you program it too. i'd also reccomend spybot s and d by actionweb and adaware. all three of those programs will take really good care of you, and all are free. all can be found on the windows marketplace website. goodluck!!

Trend, they charge and are used by corporations. Providing protection to corporatins is a liabliity so they have to be very good and professional.
NOD32 is even better at detection and prevention, not to mention much faster.

Norton buries itself on your stressful tension and is complicated to thoroughly get rid of, and since the different individuals stated, it takes up distinctive supplies. i individually use Avast yet there are different loose ones accessible that are the two as solid.
