Ok, so I'm getting my ears pierced at Claire's tomorrow..I think, if I don't chicken out, anyway, heres a couple of questions:
How bad does it hurt? I'm 15, what are the chances of me getting a keloid/how can I avoid it? That's what I'm most afraid of. Can it close over the earring if I forget to rotate it one of the days? Can you still get infections after it has healed and everything?
Any other tips you have would be helpful, I'm really nervous about this, my ears are really sensitive.

well if its any help i got my second hole there at claires and for me it didnt hurt at all i didnt feel anything!!!
well they gave me a solution bottle so that my ear wouldnt get infected and i did forget to rotate my earings and it never closed over it!! well if its your first or second hole it wont really hurt because thats where it hurts the least!!

you are freaking out...but you absolutely do not need to. don't freak out like i did. here's the lowdown: i would be lying to you if i told you it did not hurt. people will tell you it doesn't, but i thought it did andi am no sissy. the catch-- it only hurts for about a minute. the initial pierce just kinda startles at first, then stings for a short while. not to worry, however. they give u plenty of instructions and tips for how to handle your ears-- it's really no big deal whatsoeva! just be sure to apply alcohol around your ears twice a day and try to remember to rotate them, too. DO not take the earrrings out until after however long they tell you. You might want to even leave them in there a little bit longer-- what i should have done. Trust me-- you will be so glad you did this-- it's lots of fun to buy cute earrings and match them to your outfits!! Good luck and don't worry!!!

My eight year old had hers done in the summer and said it didn't hurt at all - it's a very quick process - most places usually do both ears at the same time now so I'm sure you'll be fine.
As for problems afterwards, we haven't had any - we were provided with a cleansing fluid though and told to apply it once a day to begin with, so maybe this helped.

my ears are sentive too. i was scared at first cuz i heard that they do hurt and that they dont and i didnt know what to expect. im 15 too and it doesnt hurt that bad its just a lil pinch and its over.. but think about the things you like and itll be over i didnt cry or scream and im afriad of needles!!! just make sure you use the antiseptic stuff and dont take your earings out until they tell you too. if you follow all the rules then you'll be good but u will be happy with it grantteed i got my ears pierced at clairs too so i know how it is... anyway just remeebr to relax and stay calm and everything will be fine... good luck,

my ears are really sensitive too but dont worry its actually the click of the gun that makes u more scared so wen u get in the chair just hld somones hand and take a big breath in and then out to calm urself remember RELAX
ok no ur ear wont grow over the earing and no it wont like close up around the earing you really dont get infections wen ur ears get peirced jus make sure u ALWAYS wear good earings u cant wear crap if u have sensitive ears ive learned earings dont take very much work but i will suggest not to change them daily i dont kare if ur trying to match with ur outfit no one notices
another sugestion is once a month take them out and put them in a lil cup with peroxide(covering the earings) and that will clean them um earings are play by play things but normaly there just fine by themselves i have 3 in each ear and i always wear diamonds in the top and bottom holes and in the middle one ear is a heart and the other is just a circle thingy iono but make sure u leave ur earings in all the time cuz i left my second ones out for like a week an d the closed up but i culd tell where they went from the lil marks they leave so i repeirced it by myself with my mom laughing at me ( IT HURT LIKE A BIYOTCH) if u have ne problems just hit me up im Dot is Hot

I got my ears pierced at claire's (i'm 12) and it only hurt for a half a second so its totally worth it! And the best way to have healthy pierced ears is to clean them twice a day with cleaning solotion.

i have my ears double pierced and im going for my third soon. it just stings for a second. it helps to have a sibling or a parent, if you need to ask to squeeze their hand. if you forget to rotate once it should be fine. you can still get infections if you dont clean them. just remember to clean the earrings when you put new ones in.

It hurts quite a bit but the pain lasts for about 5 mins and after that its quite ok. But just make sure that you dont take your earrings out too often otherwise your ear holes may close and you would be back at square one.

It hardly hurts at all, nothing to be scared of. clean and rotate them every day and you shouldn't have any problems.

it didn't hurt me. and yes it can get innfected when it heals up.
