NH3 + HCl --> NH4Cl

Ammonia plus HCl produce Ammonium chloride.

And Ammonium chloride doesn't have a smell. The same is true for Salt, NaCl, which doesn't have the smell of chlorine.

It disappears, as in solution ammonia is converted to the ammonium ion, NH4+ by addition of acid.
