Tell your parents immediately when they get home.
You can't cover up smoke.
You were not accidently playing with matches. You're even lying to us. Liars and cheats get caught eventually, or they become worse, then in trouble for the rest of their lives.
GOD bless.

Young man, you cannot "ACCIDENTALLY" play with matches, and even if you didn't mean too what you did could be considered arson. Fess up to your folks that is if you are too much of a scaredycat too. You couldn't even manage to tell us the truth! There is NO way to cover this up. Just man up and tell them the truth and take your punishment. One of the first things I would do if you were MY kid is take your computer, tv, stereo, and any other electronic device away from you and no you would not be allowed to watch tv in the living or family room and YOU would have to replace the ornament(s) and if the tree was damaged the tree and pay for it with your future allowance, if you get one, plus you would be made to do extra choes to help work off the expense of the damage. Oh by the way I hope that the fear you are feeling sticks with you a good long time because if you keep this behavior up you will be labeled a pyro and be facing a life of jail time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the tree is on fire:
1. Call the Fire Department!
2. Get out of the house!
3. Call your parents and tell them what happened!
If it is not on fire:
1. Call your parents and confess! If you wait for them to see it, they will be angrier!
You really shouldn't be accidently playing with matches.

"Accidently playing with matches?" You don't play with ANYTHING by accident. You always play on purpose. I suggest you fess up the minute they come in the doors to reduce your sentence, but frankly I don't feel sorry for you. You need to grow up, and stop being a fool!

You shouldn't lie, but nobody's perfect. Tell them it was the lights that had a short or something. They'll believe it
