I can remember as a child listening with my beloved Great-Grand-mother Catherine to this song. It was sung by Richard Tauber a tenor. Great-grand-mother had a gramophone with a handle at the side, which you used to wind it up .There was a large horn shaped metal thing that the sound came out of. The "stylus"was a thick needle, similar to a panel pin, which was changed after each record because it wore out quickly. The sound was horrendous, the records were easily scratched and the sound was distorted and if it had not been wound up properly, it would `run down` during the song and even more distort the voice and song. How did people listen to them?!! That particular song "you are my hearts delight", she said was what my Great-Grandfather used to sing to her.

I found a song called You Are My Heart's Delight by Richard Tauber
Not sure if that one is it or not.
There's also a song called the same in a musical called Land of Smiles.
Oooh, looks like Richard Tauber starred in Land of Smiles, so there you go.
