I've used a bunch of natural laundry brands along with natural cleaning products for many years. Ecosense works well. If there's one in your area, Traders Joe's brands work fine. (I love TJ's Trader Zen stuff for household cleaning. I think they discontinued the hand soap, which I really miss, since it was completely chemical-free and gentle on my dry, sensitive skin.) I tend to buy whatever natural laundry soap is on sale or has the lowest per-unit price. Just be sure with some of these to put in the detergent, then fill the tub with water before adding clothes since some brands don't dissolve as rapidly as others. Some may need to agitiate a little before you put in the clothes. (But it's good to do that anyway with ALL detergents.) I've even used a non-detergent ball that had minerals it and it lasted forever. If you need a little brightening, use an oxygen or non-chlorine bleach. Good for you for helping out the planet!

I don't know if there is one by you but Trader Joe's sells an all natural detergent that is awsome. I have seen the Ecos brand but have not tried it. TJ's also has a lot of other green cleaning products.

Melaleuca has great laundry detergent. You get a big 3 month bottle for about 17 dollars. EcoSense is the trademark. It gets out the dirt without the allergens. woo hoo.

Sounds well to me some thing to make my family tasks less difficult could be fine, however, you must maintain it fair. Which should not be a giant challenge your already reducing out the desire for material softener & making it usable for different cleansing functions I could most likely have an interest.
