Premarin
These fillies are innocent
So are these colts
But they will never have a chance
They were born just to die

They think they are useless
Just a by-product of this
There only purpose is to feed dogs
They were born just to die

Why don’t we use alternatives?
Because we don’t know about them
We aren’t supposed too
They were born just to die

We can stop this
We can save these innocent foals
And there mothers
So never again will they be born just to die

Relatively straight forward and simplistic - one animal being raised to feed another. Evocative I suppose to some people.

It's about how horses are born, but they end up just as meat in food for dogs, and never really have a chance to live like a true living creature. It goes on about we as a people don't know about a substitue for the horse meat, and that we are ignorant to any alternative, and really don't care if we do. The last stanza talks about how we must save these horses as babies, and as mothers, so that they won't have to be born and be killed just for their meat.

that is a sad poem. Its true when i was younger i saved the most beautiful horse from becoming dog meat. People need 2 b aware how many animals are raised just 2 die. chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, horseys, fish, etc... the list goes on and on
