Why have we made it so hard for ourselves? The daily work its repetitive and has no meaning. I am sitting here with piles of paperwork and books that I need to study, I just got back from the grocery store and the prices are so high!

You'll have to concede that there are about 4 billion people out there who do live life simply, and wish they wouldn't have to. Our specialized lifestyle may have its drawbacks, but it also enables us to live lightly, longer, and with more insight into things that go beyond food acquisition and keeping the rain out.
f you enjoy this topic though, consider reading Thoreau if you haven't yet. He puts it very well.

People can live simple lives if they get rid of this idea that they have to have everything that everyone else has. Some people seem to think it is their right to have what everyone else has whether they earned it or not.

We are complicated beings , aren't we ? Life seems a bit repetitious to me too . I am afraid I don't have a brilliant answer for you , and I'm not even sure there is one .

We haven't made it hard on ourselves. The breed of cold-blooded reptiles that controls us makes it hard for us.
