Easiest way is to play the bar chord. 1st finger plays a bar at the second fret and 3rd finger plays a 2-3-4 string bar at the 4th fret.

If you think about it...you play an "A" as 2nd, 3rd, and 4th string at the second fret, so a "B" is two frets up (one step) from that, which is the 4th fret. The 2nd fret bar you made with your first finger acts as the new "nut" or end of the fretboard. Hope this helps!

If your tring to play B major, you have to put your first finger on the 5th/A string 2nd frett, & your 3rd & 4th finger on the 4th/D string & 3rd/G string. But try to bar your 1st finger across the 2nd frett if you can so you can play all the srings from the 5th string to the 1st string. Don't play the 6th/E string. Jam On !!!

put your first finger on the 7th fret on strings 1-6. put your ring finger on the 9th fret on string 5. put your little finger on the 9th fret on string 4. put you middle finger on the 8th fret on string 5.
that's major. to make it minor, just take your middle finger off.

E|------------|-------------|-------------|-------------|
A|------------|-------------|-------------|--------------|
D|------------|-------------|-------------|------X------|
G|------------|-------------|-------------|------X------|
B|------------|-------------|-------------|------X------|
E|------------|-------X----|-------------|-------------|

It might take a while to sound good, but you'll get it.
Its like an A chord, but up two frets andcovering the e string with your index.
